Calculations are based on the following formulas:

  1. for downconversion (fIF < fc):
    • if fLO > fc , then fLO = fc + fIF  and fci = fc + 2fIF ;
    • if fLO < fc , then fLO = fc - fIF  and fci = fc - 2fIF .
  2. for upconversion (fIF > fc):
    • if fLO > fIF , then fLO = fc + fIF  and fci = fc + 2fIF ;
    • if fLO < fIF , then fLO = fIF - f and fci = 2fIF - fc .
